A Journey That Didn't Begin at the Destination
In 2015, while passengers around him browsed travel menus and unfolded newspapers, Mohammad Sohaib sat on a flight back to India, carrying nothing more than a conviction. He had just walked away from a comfortable, well-paid life in Dubai — not in search of opportunity, but in search of purpose. There was no plan, no roadmap, and no guarantee waiting for him on the other side of that flight.
But there was something stronger: the belief that life holds meaning only when it brings meaning to someone else's.
A World in Crisis and a Heart that Could Not Look Away
For Sohaib, the years leading up to his journey home were filled with images that are impossible to unsee. At home in India, floods in Kashmir and Bihar were sweeping away generations of dreams. Children in urban slums were growing up without safety, schooling, or a single predictable meal. Just across the border, the Nepal earthquake had shaken families, flattened homes, and ruptured a region's sense of security.
Beyond South Asia, global headlines carried even heavier grief — Syrian families fleeing war, Yemeni children suffering hunger, parents clutching their children in search of safety.
These were not distant tragedies to him. They were reminders: powerful, painful reminders that humanity needed more hands willing to serve.
The Birth of AICT: When Compassion Became Commitment
With only his savings and his determination, Sohaib founded Al Imdaad Charitable Trust (AICT) in India. It began quietly — a small set of hands trying to hold up those falling through the cracks of society.

What started as simple, human interventions soon evolved into structured programmes. The mission was no longer just to help people survive the crisis of today but to empower them for the possibilities of tomorrow.
Building a Legacy Through Action
Over the years, AICT expanded its pillars of work — food security, healthcare, education, clean water, emergency response, women's empowerment, and livelihood generation. Whether through cataract surgeries restoring sight, e-rickshaws enabling income generation, tailoring classes lifting women into self-reliance, or mobile clinics reaching remote villages, AICT championed dignity as a basic human right.
Every project, whether restoring sight, feeding a family, or rebuilding after an earthquake, is a reminder that real legacies are built through lives touched, not wealth accumulated.
A Decade Later: A Movement That Now Spans the Globe
What began as one man's mission has grown into an international force for change. Today, AICT Global works across India, the United Kingdom, Canada, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Uganda, Nepal, Bangladesh, Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan, Turkey, Morocco, Gaza, Sudan, and several other regions affected by conflict and crisis.

We own every outcome — success or shortfall — as a trust (amānah) from Allah. We measure, report, and correct with precision, knowing we will stand before Allah to account for every dollar, decision, and deed.

Integrity
